My initial meeting with Mr Dawe was following my own research on line. I met with him and the results of the X ray on my foot were discussed. I was presented with options and likely outcomes. A cheilectomy operation was one option. I felt no pressure to have surgery. I decided to go ahead with an operation and met briefly with Mr Dawe on the morning of the procedure. I felt in safe hands. Post surgery was as described. I did follow Mr Dawes instructions ,as a result my recovery has been very good. As far as operations, it has been a good experience, assisted by a capable surgeon who communicates well and is very personable.

Mr Dawe is your ideal consultant. He is very personable, interested, listened to what I had to say and offered constructive advice. He explained the procedure in detail, answered any questions and offered a comprehensive breakdown of the recovery and rehabilitation process. This particular operation has a lengthy recovery timescale and so it was important for me to understand the balance of rest and exercise as the weeks progressed. I had undergone this operation on the other foot some years earlier, when the consultant did not advise me to rest with my foot raised for the first two weeks, nor how to massage the scar and I feel my recovery was compromised as a result. Mr Dawe left nothing to chance and I feel my recovery has been accelerated due to his care and advice. On the day of the operation he visited me on the ward to reassure me of what would happen and post- operatively to ensure that I had all the information and pain relief I needed. I would highly recommend Mr Dawe to anyone having a Morton's Neuroma operation and if fact have done so already to a friend.

I was exceptionally fortunate, when I was admitted from A and E to St Richards with a broken ankle and fibula on a Friday, that Mr Dawe and his team were operating that weekend. Unfortunately mine was a bad break and stability of the ankle needed to be restored with a "cable tie" by Mr Dawe. Just over 3 months later I am walking carefully and am about to start cycling and other exercising with the intention of eventually getting back into the ParkRuns. Thank you for your expertise Mr Dawe, I would be devastated if I were not able to get back into my previous level of fitness.

Dr. Dawe was clear and concise in response to my questions regarding Halux Valgus bunion surgery for both feet. Not only was he specific about the kind of surgery he was going to engage in but also, why. He did not hesitate to repeat, with patience, any items I had not understood or overlooked. I have had one surgical intervention and am about to engate the second procedure. I have total confidence in recommending Dr. Dawe
